History FAQ's Apply for Internship

“I am very happy that I was able to participate in this internship program. It provided me with the opportunity to gain a more practical understanding of how the United States government operates that I could not gain through a traditional classroom setting. All of the interns are treated as office staff, not just “go-fers,” so I can honestly say that I contributed to the efforts of the staff and I am proud of my work. I not only experienced, first-hand, the impact that the United States Congress has nationwide during my time in Washington, D.C., but the impact it has on individuals from the area during the time I spent in the district. I know this is a valuable experience that I will be able to carry with me into the future.”
